What is neuropsychology?
Neuropsychology is a specialty area within the field of psychology which focuses on the relationship between brain dysfunction and behavior. Brain injury may result from strokes, hemorrhage, or head trauma. Brain injury usually leads to changes in our cognitions (the way we think), our emotions (the way we feel) and in our behavior. Neuropsychology is dedicated to understanding and treating the variety of changes which can result from brain impairment.
Therefore, at admittance, a neuropsychological evaluation is conducted. Subsequently, the course of therapy is planned.
