It aims to improve temporal and spatial orientation, speed of thinking, attention, memory, problem-solving as well as basic scholastic skills (writing, reading, calculus). Last but not least, cognitive training also furthers peoples ability to understand the way injury has changed their cognitive functioning and to assess these changes adequately so that they can anticipate and sidestep cognitive failures in their daily lives.
